Refunds will not be issued for sick or vacation absences. A 30 day notice would be appreciated for withdraw from the preschool.

***PLEASE NOTE: Preschool will begin the Monday before Labor Day. This year, we will start Monday 8/26 for the preschool class (4 year olds turning 5) and Tuesday 8/27 for the Little Adventurers (3 year olds turning 4). This is a free week of school that I use as a cushion for any days I am unable to teach due to illness or other emergency. I hope to stay healthy and not have any emergencies so hopefully you’ll get a few extra days of school! I use Jordan School District’s traditional elementary school calendar for all other holidays. You can find the calendar here. I will also send home monthly calendars that will inform you of any non-school days and other activities. The last week of school will be the week before Memorial Day.

Please do not send your child to school when they have signs of illness. If a child has a fever, red eyes, green running nose, severe coughing, or any other symptoms that indicate illness, parents will be called immediately to pick them up. As a general rule of thumb, if you wouldn’t want your child to be exposed by another child with the symptoms your own child is showing…don’t send your child to school.

Because all materials are prepared before class and my expenses are the same no matter how many children are present, no credit is given for missed school days.

What you need to provide:

  • a backpack

  • a water bottle that doesn’t leak

(Please send a backpack to school with your child every day. Sometimes it will come home empty, but is good practice for kindergarten...and how cute is a giant backpack on a preschooler?)

What I will supply:

  • crayons

  • markers

  • paint

  • scissors

  • pencils

  • etc.

We do some messy art projects and I cover the kids clothing as best as I can but they will sometimes get dirty. Everything we use is washable so don’t worry too much. But on the off chance that something may stain, don’t send your child in anything you’d be super sad to see stained.

Please keep the following at home unless asked to bring them:

  • toys

  • food

  • other items from home

Bringing items from home can sometimes cause problems with other students. Also, their toy may get mixed in with my toys. Then we can't find it and we have a very unhappy child.

If you want to do more:

If you would like to help with supplies, we go through hand soap, tissues, baby wipes and hand sanitizer like crazy. Any donation of those items you’d be willing to send with your child would be greatly appreciated. If you are will to donate crayons (no bigger than 24 packs), washable markers, dry erase markers, or glue sticks that would also be VERY appreciated.

Arrival Time
Please do not drop off your child earlier than five minutes before class starts.

Parking
You may park in front of MY driveway but please don’t block any of my neighbor’s driveways or mailboxes. Also, PLEASE drive slowly!

The preschool is in a residential neighborhood with lots of children, pets and other people walking around. Once you park, please walk your child around the back of the house to the preschool entrance by going through the gate on the west side of the house and down the stairs.

For pick up, please wait in your car or on the sidewalk by your car. I will bring the children out at the end of the day.
